In the 3 stories we had to read the last one is the one i can mostly relate to. It talks about his nona who in italy was dirt poor and came to america and worked really hard. It reminded me of my grandmother. she moved here from Ethiopia 40 years ago with my father who was only 10 years old at the time. she worked 2 or 3 jobs night and day to support my father and later had another child to a man she married here in the states, but later got a divorce. she's worked very hard my father too. its hard to come to a country not knowing the language and being put in a public school knowing no one. my dad has become very successful through hard work. he didn't get the opportunity to attend college, but now owns his own business. My father makes sure i have everything he didn't have as a child, and i couldn't be more thankful.
